I received an email a couple of days ago on Doug's progress...
Dear Family and friends,
Just a few lines to update you on Doug's progress. He is slowly gaining strength and is on his second day of gelatin and liquids. He is still on his nutrition feed which goes through his central line. He had an infection in the largest incision, which is often the case when they have had to open the same incision for the second time. But, they have been draining it daily and it is on the mend as well. Please continue to pray against infection and for healing to happen on the inside as well as the outside. We are encouraged by all of the emails and the prayers that are ongoing for the both of us.
Please continue to pray that all will go well and that his stomach will be able to tolerate the foods that they are going to start to introduce in the next day or so. We do feel the presence of God and the prayers of His people. Continue also to pray for those here who are serving us - for wisdom, strength, faith and everything else we need and also for our family in Canada - Thanks again. Bless you and yours .
